New 201 9 Ridden Dressage Tests Clinic with Natalie Lamping
December 15th-16th 2018
Forget about procrastinating! It’s time to get a jump on the 2019 newly released dressage tests, and now is your opportunity to seize the moment!
Thanks to a grant from the United States Dressage Federation secured by Loretta Lucas, the donation of a facility by Mary Barber, and the support of the STRIDE organization, riders and auditors will have a chance to participate in a truly unique ridden dressage clinic.
On December 15th and 16th , world renowned clinician Natalie Lamping will preside over a two-day educational symposium and clinic that will deconstruct the recently released 2019 tests. Lamping specializes in Ride-A-Test clinics designed to help the horse and rider present themselves in the best possible way. Continuing Education Credits will also be available for L graduates.
Day 1 of the clinic will feature two demo riders at each level highlighting both entire tests and specific movements.
Day 2 will be a Ride-A-Test clinic format with two riders at each level. Both days will feature question and answer format and all discussions will occur over the public address system.
Lamping, incidentally, will be doing the voice overs for the newest editions of the USDF On the Levels online test demonstrations that many are familiar with, and she boasts an extensive equine resume.
From the time she was twelve, her talent afforded her extraordinary opportunities to ride with some of the most elite European masters of the day, including Col. Raimondo D’Inzeo, whose world-famous jumper Merano she was privileged to ride.
A horse related accident resulted in Natalie turning her focus exclusively to dressage, and focus she did! In 1971, she won the American Horse show Association’s Senior Dressage Finals on Rheinwein. By 21, she had earned her judge’s card and by 39, she had secured her FEI card.
Natalie has judged most major Olympic, World Cup, and Pan American Games selection trials and has officiated throughout the world. She is a past member of the Licensed Officials Committee and is part of the USDF Freestyle and Test Writing Committee. In the past, she has been long listed with the United States Equestrian Team and has had the good fortune throughout the years to ride with numerous dressage notables.
The event will take place at 9605 South Magnolia Ave., Ocala, Florida beginning at 8:00 AM.
Riders will be under a covered arena. Spectators will not be under roof.
Cost for auditing the clinic is $25 which covers both days. For an additional $20, lunch for the two days may be purchased. A two-day chair rental is $3 or bring
Demo riders ride free of charge and must be proficient at their demonstration level.
The fee to participate as a Ride-A-test rider is $30.
Forms for auditing, demo test riding, and test riding as well as facility release forms and continuing education forms may be downloaded below and mailed to Loretta Lucas, 665 SW 91 st PL, Ocala, FL 34476.
