The driving clinic sponsored by STRIDE on Saturday, March 30, 2019, proved to be a huge success and another valuable learning opportunity for STRIDE members and those outside of STRIDE aiming to sharpen their driving skills.

USET member Barry Hunter and renowned instructor/trainer Olof Larsson provided expert instruction in driven cones and dressage.

According to his biography on the USET website, before becoming a world- renowned course designer and clinician, Hunter was a college faculty member and lecturer in mathematics in the United Kingdom. He designed his first world championship courses at the FEI World Driving Championships for pairs in Conty, France in 2011. Now he designs courses worldwide, spending summers in Europe and Winters in Florida.

Larsson won the Swedish National driving championship in 1994 with a converted riding pony. He studied at the University of  Equine 

Studies at Flyinge (the National Stud of Sweden) and eventually came to the US, working with Chester Weber. A specialist with four-in-hand driving, Larsson has made a name as an independent clinician.
He was instrumental in the USEF Developing Driver Program and has been involved in the organization and teaching of the USEF Para-Equestrain clinics for driving.
